Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge Friends meet with the board every 3rd Thursday of the month to discuss current projects, plan events, and hear updates about the refuge. Meetings are open to any member and are held at the Refuge Visitor Center. Please feel free to attend our next meeting on:

It takes the local community of nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts to protect, preserve, and grow a place as unique as Rice Lake. Consider joining the Friends today!

Membership fees support:

Preserving the integrity of the Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge.
Providing educational and recreational opportunities.
Enhancing and maintaining existing visitor sites and trails.
Creating new projects to improve the visitor experience.

The Friends

The Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge Friends is a non-profit organization formed to support and enhance the Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding area.

The Friends help to educate the public about the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's role in fish and wildlife habit protection.

The Friends foster public use and enjoyment of the refuge.
